Event Setup Step 3: Create Quote
For collaborative events only: In Sho-Soft, creating a quote allows you to provide your client with a detailed cost breakdown for spaces, inventory, and workforce. Quotes can be reviewed by clients before being converted into invoices.
Note: You can skip this step if the event is Self-Produced. Only complete this step for Collaborative Events.
1. Open Create Quote

Click the Start button next to Create Quote on the setup list pop-up (bottom right corner).

Or, click the yellow Create Quote button on the event page.

You will be routed to the Quote Viewer page under the Sales tab.
2. Add Quote Items

Click the purple Edit button next to Space, Inventory, Workforce or Ad Hoc.

On the next page, click the white Add button (top of the page).

Select the item from the dropdown or type in a new item and fill in the details in the pop-up.

Note: Only spaces added under the Venue tab can be selected for quotes (you can always add/edit spaces under the venue tab) .

After adding entries, click the Close button next to the Add button to return to the Quote Viewer page.

3. Review Quote

Once all items are added, check the initial quote total displayed at the bottom of the Quote Viewer page.

4. Send Quote for Client Review

Scroll to the top of the Quote Viewer page.

Click the dark purple Send to Review button.

In the pop-up, confirm the client’s email address is correct.

Optional: Add additional recipients if needed.

Click Send.

The client will receive the quote via email and through their dashboard and can approve it before conversion to invoice.

Note: If the quote does not need to be reviewed before being finalized, skip the Send to Review step and go to Create Invoice.
